In the town of González Catán, Buenos Aires province, a police officer shot a motorcycle-riding robber who, along with other criminals, attempted to rob him. Police sources informed the Noticias Argentinas agency that the sergeant, belonging to the Federal Police's Human Trafficking Department, was on his way to take up service at Juan Francisco Echauri 4536, La Matanza district, when he was approached by four thieves on two motorcycles. The officer ordered them to stop, drew his service weapon, a shootout began, and one of the attackers died instantly after being shot in the head, while his accomplices fled. The victim was unharmed, alerted 911, and officers from the González Catán First Police Station arrived at the scene, where the revolver used by the attacker was found.
